Our Core Values
First Bank of the Palm Beaches was founded in 2006 by local Palm Beach County business men and women as a friendly alternative to the large impersonal banks. There has always been and will always be a need for community banks whose decision makers understand the local economy and the people that make it go. First Bank of the Palm Beaches was founded to meet that need and serve our neighbors here in Palm Beach County like we would want to be served. We were founded and will continue to operate within our core values in an effort to help all of our stakeholders to achieve their goals.
First Bank’s Core Values
Availability: Our bankers are available to all of our customers, no matter how small. We have our cell phone numbers on our cards and the smallest depositor in our bank can meet with our CEO in person any time they wish. Our bank is more than a place to hold your money. It is a place to support you in your financial life. It is a place to offer advice in achieving your goals. It is a place available to you to do you banking how you want to, not how we want you to.
Honesty: Our bankers will always be honest with our customers and all of our stakeholders about how and why we operate the way that we do. We outperform our competition in service and availability but as a small community bank there are things that our competition can do better than we can. We will offer our clients that advice as well as our services and let them know what we think. We will explain our fees and tell you why we charge them. FDIC insured banks all provide the necessary loan and account disclosures, but our bankers will gladly explain everything to you and treat you like you deserve.
Community: We are a community bank. That does not just mean that we are small. Every employee at First Bank lives and works in your neighborhood, or sends their kids to your kid’s school. Our goal is to make our shared community a better place. We do that by investing local deposits in loans to improve businesses, improve real estate, hire employees, send kids to college, etc. We do that by serving in non-profits and volunteering our time and our knowledge in Kiwanis, Rotary and other service organizations. We do that by knowing our community better than the big banks and making decisions that makes sense for us all.
